![]() The purpose of this article is to help you, as much as I am able, to jump over any possible barriers that may be preventing you from reaching your goal of making your knives sharp. I ran into many problems and learned to overcome them, struggled and survived confidence shaking barriers because my desire to learn was unstoppable. Also, I want people to know that just because I may make it look easy, this is something I have been doing for almost 40 years and believe me, it was not always easy and it is still not easy. This could be true of any video, there are some very good ones out there but in hindsight, I think I just took for granted that everyone could do it, it was just a matter of following along, if only it was that easy.Īs I have always said, if it was easy, everyone could do it. In fact, it may create confidence issues, a novice could watch me or someone else sharpening and think it looks easy and yet not be able to duplicate what is being viewed not be able to make the knife sharp. Even if I had a professional videographer following my sharpening process and the video itself was perfect, if something comes up early on that prevents the person watching from completing the process, than the video is not much use. It dawned on me recently that despite doing the very best I can in creating knife sharpening video tutorials, what happens if a problem arises when attempting to follow along. ![]()
